So it's mine and my boyfriends anniversary. So we want to go to eat sushi, I know it's not that bad but I just need to know what you guys think? Should I treat myself? Obviously still sticking to my running and cycling each day?

Treat yourself ! You can't deprive yourself all the time.0

ANY food in moderation is okay!! I LOVE sushi!! Just average each piece to be somewhere around 60-70 calories (if it's cooked). That is an average. But it works for me. Happy anniversary!!0

Ask for california rolls with brown rice instead of white0

I work in a sushi restaurant, so I pretty much know what are the best choices. Anything with a California roll base is going to be high in sodium and fats, it is usually made with mayo and imitation crab (mixture of mystery fish and flour). If you enjoy the rolls with just fish or vegetable products, that's your best bet. Also, some places carry low sodium soy sauce for dipping, and that pays off in the long run with water retention. Anything tempuraed will be high fat because of the deep frying. I don't see anything wrong with indulging once in a while as long as you are informed about your choices and the effects it may have on you so there are no "how did that happen" surprises. Happy anniversary!0

Absolutely. Treat yourself and enjoy it.

Sushi rolls are actually extremely decent in calories! Remember that there isn't a whole lot of rice on there. Normally white rice is about 150cal for a 1/2cup UNCOOKED, that's a loooot of rice if you're looking at it in Sushi rolls. You'd have to eat like 10 rolls
- I'm pretty sure we can eat 1-3max Haha.
Eat, and enjoy yourself!! If you feel as though you pigged out afterward, just set aside an extra 20mins to exercise the next day.
^^ Happy Anniversary!!
Edit: There are about 6-8rolls per Sushi roll, i'm sure you can do the math from there

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!
Enjoy your day...you are allowed a splurge every now and then.
I eat sashimi with about a 1/2 cup to a cup of rice and when I do I seriously plan my food and exercise for that day so I ensure I don't go over. So if I have to exercise a little bit longer...I do.0 -
totally! sushi has tons of protein. when we go out for sushi we normally do an assortment of sashimi and split a california roll or a shrimp tempura roll (guilty pleasures!). i also like to have miso soup first and a small salad. i think dinner comes up to around 400 cals or so (including rice). totally worth it!0
