Hot Dog Pie (your kids will love this!)

Hey guys, I've made this recipe a few times and the kids really enjoy it... I finally added it to the site and it isn't really to bad on calories, altho the slices are a bit small.
Hot Dog Pie
1/2 pound ground beef (93/7 hamburger) or you can use ground turkey to make it lower in calories
4 hot dogs, cut in half lengthwise and sliced
1 can (16oz) baked beans
1/2 cup Ketchup
2 tbs brown sugar
2 tbs prepared mustard
2 oz. velveeta cheese, cubed
unbaked deep-dish pastry shell ( I used a frozen pie crust) and this makes enough for 2 pies!
8 slices american cheese (I used fat-free slices)
Cook beef until no longer pink; drain.
Add hot dogs, beans, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard and velveeta.
Cook and stir until cheese is melted
Meanwhile, place frozen pie shells in oven @ 400 for 10 minutes, pull out of oven and fill with meat/hot dog mixture. Cut each cheese slice into strips, make a lattice topping over pie (tic tac toe)
Bake 5-10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted!
Cut like pizza and eat! Each pie cut into 8 slices and this is the info!
Per Serving: Calories 310, Carbs 28, Fat 18, Protein 12, Sodium 663, Sugar 9
I'll try and add a pic soon!

I'll use ground venison instead of hamburger. Thanks for sharing.
