Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question- just I see people who have like 10 a day and it just makes me wonder how it is possible to drink that much.

I have pint glasses n only really manage about 5 glasses a day..

How big are these "glasses"?

Thankyou :)

I buy the 20 oz bottles of water. So if you drink one of those you already have 2.5 glasses under your belt. It only takes about 3 and a half bottles to reach 8 glasses a day.

Yep! What everyone else has said! 8 oz is "1 glass"...I have a water bottle at home that holds 4 "glasses" of water and I fill it every morning and take it to work with me. That way I sip on it all day and at lunch and already have 4 by the time I'm home. Once at home, I'll drink at least another 2 with dinner and I always have at least 2 to 3 when I'm working out. Easy peasy. I used to HATE it, but now it's quite natural! Plus, I KNOW it has helped with my weight loss!

I love water. Tap, bottle, room temp, ice cold...as long as it is clean lol I usually have 1 liter bottles filled in my fridge and drink 2-3 of those a day. It's easier for me that way :)

I have a cup (made by Ziploc) that is approximately 16 oz. I fill that up about 4 times a day (breakfast, afternoon snack, dinner, after dinner) and that's my eight glasses of water for the day.

If your glasses are pints then you are doing GREAT! "They" recommend EIGHT 8oz glasses each day. That's 64 ounces. 16 ounces = 1 pint...so 5 pints = 80 OUNCES! Thats great.

I have also heard that you should drink half of your body weight in ounces. For example..if you weight 150 lbs., you should be drinking 75 oz of water each day (a little more than 4.5 pints)...

    Hope this helps :)

I never managed 8 glasses thats the thing- thats why i wondered cos 16 glasses seems unhumanly impossible :P wouldnt even know how many times you'd be running to the toilet haha

It takes a while to get your body used to drinking more fluids. It's taken me about a year to get up to 80 oz a day without peeing every ten minutes, I was up to 120 ounces a day in the summer but cut back when it was getting cooler out.

When ever a book or something says "glasses a day" it is usually 8 ounces per glass. :)

I just keep sipping sipping sipping. Somedays I feel like i'm going to float away, but I still do it LOL
