So my first weight loss goal I set for myself was 20 lbs by my 30th birthday. I am now officially down 20 lbs and my birthday isn't until April 16th. (that's 2 weeks!!!) I'm so happy and now I've revised my goal to 25 lbs! I have been overweight/obese my whole adult life and this is the first time I actually enjoy losing weight. I love working out at the gym and finding new ways to eat the old foods I love without going over calories. If it weren't for MFP, I wouldn't have made it!

I lost the 20 lbs over 6 weeks, not 2 weeks. I just did it 2 weeks earlier than I had planned.
The way I did it. I literally worked my butt off at the gym. Lots of cardio with weight training the whole time. I lost 19 inches doing it that way. I started out easy and just worked my way up to 30-60 minutes of cardio and 20-30 minutes of strength training 6 days a week. Don't try to do it all right away or you might burn yourself out. As far as food, stay within your calorie allotment. It's really that simple. If you cheat on your calories, you're only cheating yourself. I hope this helps. One more thing, READ SUCCESS STORIES EVERY DAY!!! It's what has helped keep me motivated.0 -
Great job! All the best on your journey0

I feel like you have read my thoughts!
I feel the same way about MFP! I have never enjoyed trying to lose weight, I have tried everything out there, I have been overweight my whole life.....and finally, something is working.
It doesn't seem like the daunting task that it always has before....it just seems like the right thing to do and pretty easy to do it. Exercise and eat right, within my calorie limit for each day. Simple!
I also read the success stories faithfully, pretty much everyday I check them out, it really keeps me motivated!
So, thank you for sharing yours and congrats!0
