Hi All,

So this summer I will be working in a hospital as a pharmacy tech. I'll be on my feet for 8 hours a day delivering drugs throughout the entire hospital. Due to all the walking we get to wear scrubs and sneakers. I was planning on just wearing my regular running shoes that are super comfortable. Has anyone who has Reebok Easy Tone sneakers seen a huge difference? Do you think it would be worth it to get them just to wear to work?

Thanks!

I have not personally tried them, but really want a pair! I did have a customer at work comment that her doctors had informed her that she would require surgery for whatever reason, but after she started wearing the Easy Tone Shoes, whatever her problem was, kept her from needing the surgery. So, my guess is there is some benefits to them.

Interesting! I was just reading about them and a podiatrist was saying that they work because they make your legs use muscles you don't usually use and therefore get tone.. but there is a catch- They can cause permanent foot damage and make it difficult and painful to walk in normal shoes and walk barefoot. It makes me kind of skeptical

I've also was considering buying a pair to wear at work(i'm a nurse). But got mixed reviews on them-some people online said they felt a difference, while some people did not and said it wasn't worth the money. I also seen where some people had developed foot injuries from them or had super sore feet? So I guess its a big risk you take.

I think it was Consumer Reports that said they don't work...

i have a pair, but i dont wear them too regularly. my right foot always seems to hurt when i wear them, but i have really high arches so that could be it. It might be a good idea to do regular shoes for a little while first, just to get used to walking so much and then switch to easytones.

Dr. Oz said they do NOT work. I personally can feel a difference when I wear my sketchers ones. I don't think they have made my legs any more firm or my but, but I can feel that I am working more muscles and it feels good. At the end of the day I can't wait to get them off since they make my legs hurt after a long day. That means to me that they are working something. Give them a try and if they don't do anything great for you at least you have a new pair of walking shoes out of the deal.

I have the RunTones that I wear when I walk/jog. I absolutely love them and can really feel them working my legs. They are def. not good for my JM DVDs though. I had to buy a pair that had more support for that kind of workout.

I'm not sure if they work, but I'd like to try them. I have the Vibram FiveFinger Bikila's and I LOVE them! They KILL my calves. The first time I ran in mine I could only run 1 mile. I couldn't walk for 3 days afterwards!

I have the Sketcher's ones also. My physical therapist said they are shaped similarly to a walking ankle cast and it restricts the movement of your ankle (which did help my planter facitus (sp?) go away). This can cause the ankle muscles to weaken. He also said they tend to make you lock your knees (since I was recovering from knee surgery, this was a major concern for me). I still wear mine because as a teacher I am on my feet a lot and they feel like I'm walking on foam. I just try to change up the shoes I'm wearing often so my ankles still get that movement.

I have the sketcher's shape ups and they definitely work for me. I can really feel the burn in my calves and gluts. My feet haven't been hurting wearing them and I haven't noticed any ankle weakness. You do however have to be conscious of how you are walking. Heel to toe is what the instructions say.

I bought a pair because I am a nurse and running around 8 hours a day. I wear them with compression stockings and I really love them. I didn't buy them for the toning part, but I think they're comfortable. HTH!

I don't know much about the easy tone except they are cuter than my sketchers that i love and swear by. I have 2 pairs of shape ups and want to buy a third pair asap. I love them for the comfort. I don't know if they toned my legs at all but I love how energized my feet feel at the end of the day and how my back doesn't hurt. great shoes. I'm on my feet 6 to 12 hours strait in the hospital as a student nurse and these have saved me for over a year and a half now.
