I just joined the site one week ago and found I did really well the first 4 days (Mon-Thurs.) then I totally fell off the wagon on the weekend (and even gained weight!). I need some advice on how to stay on track during the weekends since I'm rarely on the computer on Saturday/Sunday.

Hi and welcome I find it hard at the weekend too. Can you just write down what you are eating over the weekend and then make sure you log it? Or go on the comp first thing and plan what you are having for the day?
Good Luck.x0 -
If you have a smart phone there will more than likely be an app to download. That little app is the best. Good luck and welcome to MFP.0

I put in my food in each morning based on my plan for the day. It also helps to show how much exercise I need to do that day if I am getting close to my calorie allowance and may need a snack or something. You could do that on Friday - log in Sat and Sun meals and keep a copy with you, to remind yourself of your goals!0

I spent the first 6 months on this site not losing any weight at all. I would be perfect Monday to Friday, losing about 2 pounds, then throw it all out the window during the weekend and be right back to the same weight every Monday morning.
I finally had my "ah ha" moment one week and realized my weekend behavior was holding me back.
There is no magic here, you just have to WANT it . . . and I mean want it more than that treat or drink . . . want it so much that you are willing to remain dedicated for all 7 days of the week. For a number of months my husband would suggest stopping into the pub for lunch, or something similar, and I would burst into tears! I didn't want to disappoint him, but I also didint' want to remain fat either. . . . he stopped asking after a few of these episodes!
Once i set my mind to this the weight just came off every week like clockwork.0 -
Hiya - I just joined on Friday so my logic is to weigh in on a Friday and then if you do overdo it at the weekend you've all week make up for it!0

I have been on for three weeks now and it's been a great help. The weight is not coming off as fast as I expected but I feel so much better. Do you have a smart phone? I found the site through my Iphone and that helps me stay current. We have also been feeping track in a notebook when we can't input and then input later. Keep plugging away, there will be ups and downs just stay the course and it will eventually work. Good luck!0

Me too me too! The weekends are AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you have a cell phone? Maybe you could text a friend (even me!) and be accountable. I have a computer and I still am a slacker on the weekend!0

Hi I'm only on fourth week so it's early days, but I am as close to saintly as I can be Monday to Friday morning when I weigh in. I am always shattered (and hungry) by Friday night so that is my time to have a treat. By treat though I just mean a bit of a bigger meal or even shock horror a takeaway. Then Saturday and Sunday, I am mainly good. Seems to be working so far, though this Friday was a really disappointing weight loss but I think I'm back on track for a better one this week. I am aiming for about 2 pounds a week for the first stone, then about a pound a week after that.0
