oh how tempted i am to go and gorge myself downstairs - we had a family gathering last night and there is a lot of junk food still left over which has been calling to me all night, to the point that it hurts! I've already gone over my calorie count for the day so cannot cannot cannot eat anything else, I just feel so weak right now, as though if i go downstairs i will eat it. :(

That stuff would have been thrown in the garbage last night right after the event was done. That's what I do, don't keep it around you at all.

remember that "exercising your willpower" will strengthen it - just like your muscles.

go downstairs and walk past it. Walk out the door and outside - start walking and you will probably walk the desire off.

Worked for me the other week when I craved chocolate - I walked to the store to get it and managed to walk the craving off.

Drink lots of water, clean your teeth (nothing tastes good other than water when you do that), do something to distract your mind, read a book, word puzzles, listen to music.

Its your mind telling you to eat, not your stomach. Learn to listen to your stomach first!

Good advice - albeit difficult! I'll try :)

So sorry I know how that is. Why dont you leave the house and go for a walk or someother workout. Tell yourself you can have something after you workout. For me the pain of spending and hour to burn what it takes a few minutes to eat is not worth it.

Grab an apple, or any healthy snack you have. I use to fall into these weak moments until I started planning for them. I plan out all my meals and have healthy snacks available at all times. Also, I tell myself this each time:

Motivation has to come from within that part of your soul that truly wants change."
"If you want it, you'll find a way. If you don't, you'll find an excuse"

    Hope this helps. Good luck:smile:

    Get outside fast!!!
The best thing to fight the craving and temptation is to get away from it. Nothing like some fresh air and a brisk walk to get it off of your mind. You will feel so empowered by the time you get back it won't call to you.

Brush your teeth or chew some sweet gum or drink some water! It always works for me :)
