Hi all, i joined a good whiel back but i only lasted a week as i found it quite daunting and wasn't sure how to get the best from it . I am back again and need to lose 2 stone. MFP is telling me i can have 1200 cals a day, is this correct

yes that sounds about right, but depends on you goal weight and your current weight
based on the calorie counts if you stick to that you are on target
but you must ensure you are hydrated enough and eat the right foods to give you the energy
otherwise too much burning will cause issues to you long term, especially with your metabolism

i started fitness pal with 1600 calorie a day goal,have stayed in this calorie range for 25 weeks and lost 23 pounds,i am now on 1675 calories and maintaining my current weigt.i have found changing to lower calorie foods i can stay full, the most difficult thing to stop was my evening snacking,i eat 2oz. of almonds and 4 squares of dark chocolate in the evening and drink 8 glassses of water a day....good luck,it actually works with a little effort.
