Should I add in more cardio?

I recently finished the 30 Day Shred with pretty good results. However, I still have a little pooch around the front of my belly (which Shredding helped immensely!). I've thought about going through the Shred again to see if I can tone that (and everything else) up even more. What I'm wondering is - is the Shredding itself enough to do this or should I be adding in some extra cardio to burn off some of that belly fat? Or should I just switch up my workout routine entirely? I'm not concerned with losing any more weight but I want to tone up some more.
Thanks!
Thanks!

The little belly (I've got the same problem) may be skin that's still tightening up, rather than fat Mix up your routines, but don't overdo the cardio. My personal trainer is working with me to minimize my belly (and hips!) and he has me doing ALL weights, with very very little cardio! When I do it, it's cardio such as stair climbing or interval/weight training. Good luck! :flowerforyou:0

you don't need to add more cardio - look at your diet... Sometimes some carbs that are high in fiber causes the pouch... Very important to know how carbs make you feel. But, like other poster, you don't need to increase cardio. It all lies within the diet... The pouch will come off when your body fat decreases. Cardio may not help to do this, especially if you are ingesting low calories.0

bump.
I am on day 5 level one of the shred,I know my tummy is still going to be a problem for me after Im done. I have found since I started running (treadmill and outdoors on occasion) my tum has started to look slimmer. Would love other suggestion though.0 -
My Dr. always tells me I have strong abs (I do a lot of ab work) but the abs are hidden under fat. The belly fat that you're talking of may be genetic. My Dad works out daily and still has that 'trouble spot'.0

I would change up your routine and add in HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). But nutrition is key!0

Either way, you should definitely be getting cardio in as well. Even if it's a walk after you do the Shred. Always do your strength training first if you're doing both in one session.0

Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately, I hate cardio and love carbs (the "bad" ones). Dangerous combination!0

Not to worry.. cardio isn't essential for fat loss! Lifting weights burns a ton of calories (to reduce fat), AND tones muscle at the same time! As for the carbs.. I'm still struggling with that myself, haha.0 -
