I've read somewhere that if you workout more than once a day it is "bad for you" and that after a while your body will get "used to it". Is this true ?. Thanks !.

I don't know if it is true, but for me working out twice a day works better into my schedule. I only have time for 30 min. in the mornings so I do another 30 - 45 min. after work. So far it has not affected my weight loss.0

You can work out as often as you like, as long as you don't hurt your self and recover properly.
Of course your body gets used to it, isn't that the point?0 -
I have read many places that two workouts a day are the way to go. Most pro cyclist and runners work out twice a day. Of course as pro's they get to nap in between instead of going to work. But for us mortals two-a-days will burn more calories than one long workout. I have been doing two workouts a day for several months and love it. I always get in my AM workout and get a second workout in maybe four or fave days a week, with one full day off. As another poster said, good rest is key, especially when doing two-a-days. There is a thread at MFP for two-a-day folks. Check it out, you will learn from them.0
