I feel like I have too many calories left over at the end of the day....sometimes 600. I have a hard time eating all my exercise calories. Should I lower my calories?? Or does MFP do it for u??

Do you do a lot of exercise? Sometimes I burn 700-900 calories a day in exercise which would take my requirement to 1900-2100 - in which case I might as well not bother being on a diet at all so I certainly wouldn't eat all those.
I'm not quite convinced by this system for big exercisers.0 -
Have you adjusted your profile settings since you started losing weight? If not, do it because you require fewer calories as you lose the weight, but the website doesn't make the changes automatically.0

Stop trying to eat all of your exercise calories. Most of those calculations are inaccurate anyway.0 -

Thats the thing. I never try. I just hear people saying "eat them" "eat them". Just curious is all!!0 -
Some days I just can't eat them all.
Take today for example.
I ate 3 meals, even went for frozen yogurt, and STILL could not eat them all.

Are you still losing weight? If yes, don't worry about it. I think if you don't meet the calorie goals, you are probably fine as well.
I am going to a nutritionist who has given me guidelines--1400 calories a day, making sure I get protein every time I eat and that I eat 6 times a day (low cal breakfast and morning snack, decent lunch, afternoon snack and dinner and low cal evening snack.)
I lost 21 lbs in 5 weeks and haven't slowed the metabolism yet (my dr. has a cool machine that measures all that). I asked her about upping my calories on the days I exercise. She said it wasn't necessary but, if I felt hungry, eat 100 or 200 calories more. Listen to my body and if I am truly famished, feed it.
And, for my long term maintenance, I am guessing that I would follow a 2000 calorie diet which would account for burning 200-300 calories in exercise. Not there yet but that is what I am expecting.0
