Hi! My name is Annie and I am tired of being too big to fit into my fat pants. When I went to buy a new pair of jeans three weeks ago
I had to admit that I had gone up a size. Not very happy about it, but I must deal with it. A friend at work told me about this website and two days in, I am hopeful that I can shed this unwanted flab. Two of my downfalls will be regular exercise and excuses about
my food choices. I know my weaknesses, and can avoid them if I must. Another friend of mine who lost 40 pounds by diet and exercise suggests that I allow my self one treat a day. I think that may help me from getting discouraged. I have some arthritis in my ankle and my back that have kept me from rigorous workouts, so I am hoping that I can find an alternative to jogging until
I am smaller and then I will work on strengthening my core. If anyone cares to comment or suggest ideas that you found that
have helped you to stay on track and also any advice about what kind of exercise I should do to burn calories that will not
compromise my physical health. Thank you

try aquasize! It is really fun and easy on knees and ankles! I got down to my proper weight after child #2 by doing aquasize 2 times a week. It is also nice because you don't feel sweaty and rarely feel sore the next day because the water massages your achey muscles while you work out.0

Hi Annie:
Welcome to the site! I guess we all have our pitfalls and temptations. For me, it is certain foods high in fat and sodium. I seem capable of staying reasonable around really sweet stuff. (I guess I get overwhelmed by it) But if you set a pizza in front of me, or a can of Pringles, that can be bad news. I just don't buy it, or keep it around!
I let myself have a special something about once a week at my most stressful time of the week, like Tuesday or Wednesday dinner. Like, I had a fried chicken wing as a snack before a workout a couple of times. It was a treat followed up by a good amount of exercise.
I try to approach exercise as a way to deal with stress and depression. When I am feeling sad or something, I try jogging. After getting out of breath and oxygenated, I usually start to feel more positive.
Well, I am glad you are here. I am proof that this site works and I wish you lots of luck here! Take it just one step at a time, one pound at a time! Portion control + exercise = results
