Buying a HRM is like any other purchase you make. You will get what you pay for. If I was you, I would splurge and get a Polar. You can get them for under $100 and they are by far the best and worth the money. I promise!0

I have a Timex, its not bad. For beginners, I think its probably your best bet. I have had no problems with mine so far, and it seems to be pretty accurate.
Once I get more active and reach some goals, I will probably upgrade to a Polar.0 -
thanks guys! i'll be doing some research!!0

I have a Polar. It's nice because whenever I use a Polar brand machine at the gym it automatically picks up my HRM. Found that out by accident and it was a total plus.0

It actually picks up on a lot of other brands too, I've noticed that while I'm at the gym!0 -

Thats weird. My machines at the gym have a polar hrm in them and when I wear my polar HRM, they are both WAYYYY different than one another.0 -
Best HRMs are Polar. Cheapest place to buy a HRM is on Amazon!0

I have a Polar that I bought from Amazon and I abso-freakin-lutely LOVE it.
I had bookmarked one (the Polar FT4) and kept watching it - one day it was marked down to 61.91, I bought it and with next day shipping I paid less than $80 for it. I found it listed today at 89.99.
I got a great deal and I'm very pleased with my purchase.0
