When does your PMS weight gane subside?

Like, at what point in your cycle does that darn PMS weight gain/water retention finally disappear off the scale? Is it the day your period starts? A few days after that? Before? Some other time? Essentially what I am asking I guess is, at what point does your weight go back to what it was before you got PMS?
(Just wondering when my weight will go back to "normal")
ETA - did I really spell GAIN wrong in this title? Duh! Sorry.

I avoid the scale for two weeks out of the month...starting a few days before my period and then about a week after. If I weigh during that time it only discourages me.0

My weight has stayed the same durin' my period now - I don't give into Junkfood etc. I find that I'm less bloated...I guess it depends on the person...Hmm? who really knows

Drink extra water during your PMS and the scale won't go up as much! I tried that and I actually lost weight!0

I find it to go back to "normal" about 5-7 days after my cycle starts.0

Mine will usually start to drop the day I start and take a day or two to get back to where it was. My "gain" was not as bad this month...not sure if it is because this is the first month that I have been really watching my calories or if it is because I was really diligent about taking my Midol this month. I have real issues with being very irritable (ok, I am a down right B*&#H) leading up to mine.0

i try not to weight myself the week before as i start feeling bloating etc as i near my TOM. everything usually goes back to normal a day or 2 after.

For me I gain about two pounds for a few days before and then that seems to disappear about 5 days after I start. So I try not to worry about weight fluctuations during that week.
I do get quite bad PMT as well, which often leads to a chocolate bar or a few glasses of wine, and on the first day I'm often exhausted and it's all I can do to get myself to work, let alone to the gym ...
Oh the joys of being a woman! :ohwell:0 -
I think this really varies. Some people gain a few pounds before, during or after their period and some don't lose. I usually just don't lose a as much that week but the following week is usually a good loss.0

I think it really varies. For me, I start gaining almost a full week before and am back to normal by about day 3 after starting. I can usually tell without stepping on a scale though. I don't know about the rest of you ladies, but my body typically sheds the water within a day and I'm visiting the bathroom almost once an hour. Of course some months I retain up to 6 pounds which is three quarts of water. :grumble:
I'd say go ahead and weigh yourself regularly for a few months and you'll figure out how your body handles it.0
