I have a treadmill but i dont have the manual for it, on the displaay it shows speed you are running at eg 5.3, then it shows how long you have been running for, then it has distance you have covered but i am not sure if this is in miles or not. I ran 1.60 tonight, does anyone know what this means?

Thanks

It's the number of miles you've covered!
  • Total miles unless you have maually changed it to kilometers :)

You should look at the model sticker usually on the bottom somewhere. Most manufactures have online manuals. You can usually download them and print them.

If it shows your speed in MPH, then the numbers it should display at the end for distance should be in miles. If there is a chance it could be set to kilometers, I'd say crank it to a comfortable/fast walking pace and walk for about 15/20 min - a 15 minute mile is a rather fast walk. If, after 15 min it is showing more than a 1 in your final distance, it probably is not miles. Hope that helps!
(Or just google the make and model of the treadmill and download a users manual.)
