I've tried and failed so many times at losing weight. I stick with it, then something throws me off track and I'm back to being stagnant. I'm 25 years old and I feel like there is so much more to life than this. I'm tired of the rollercoaster. I just want to complete this thing and look back like "I finally did it". This is the ONE thing in my life I have always been plagued with and I don't think I will live the best life I can until I conquer this. So I guess, I'm here for encouragement and really more so for accountability. :)

I can attest that this site is a very good resource for helping people loose weight. I understand your struggle; I have lost weight in the past and gained it all back. Consistency and Self Discipline are key. Never give up, depending on how much you have to loose it will take a while, so stay encouraged and draw from positive people/energy. Don't neglect to treat yourself; it's a lifestyle change not prison :-). I wish you well, and I hope that you are very successful.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life; if you fall, get back up, don't stay on the ground!
  • Welcome! :) It's a great feeling deciding to commit to a healthy life. I've been on this journey for almost 2 years now. I've had my ups and downs, but I'm still as motivated as ever. What is important is that YOU'RE HERE! I actually love to track my calories and workouts now; it helps me to realize all that I'm putting into my body (i don't always make the wisest choices). The crucial part of this journey is making sure that you are doing something that you can stick with -- i've done things like cut out everything that I love to eat, only to binge on it later. It's cliche' but, everything in moderation. It's all about give and take and allowing yourself little splurges. It comes down to the fact that if you don't get into a program that is sustainable for your whole life, you will keep bouncing back to bad habits.

    Good luck!! :):):)

Welcome, the most ipmortant thing is that you are willing to try again. Like you I have lost weight and gain it back in the past. I would be dedicate for six month and something would come up and I would fall off. My hubby use to say I am a six months on six month off person doing exercise. I have been dedicate for a whole year now . I have had my ups and my down especially when I take vacations, but allways get right back on it right away. You with be able to stick with it with dedication and determination.
