One day at a time!

Hello all,
I started this program for a few reasons...
First one is to be able to log what I eat, so I will know where the extra pounds is and how I am picking them up. The "How" part is - am I eating when I get upset, hungry, or bored. I do not want to eat just because...only when I am hungry.
I have a desk job, so I need to stop eating at my desk and when I am bored. Instead I need to get up and do the stairs; however I know this will become a habit for me. Just need to stay focus and do it one day at a time!

Second reason I joined myfitnesspal is to meet people and encourage them as I encourage myself! :)

Third reason to see results!
Done deal!!!

I am a busy mom, so I have or should watch what I eat - because time flies. I don't always have time to cook.
I use to prepare meals ahead and freeze them, but that flew out the window. I am determined to get back to that!
My family takes a lot of my time. Does this sound like anybody? Hardly no time for yourself! I want that to change to this summer....get back to allowing "me time"! That was a must for me...don't really know what happened to that... I guess I allowed my plate to over crowd...lol.

Hopefully this program will help to do wonder...this and prayer!

One Day at a time!

  • Welcome!! I have been on MFP for about a month now. I love it!! This is the first time I've ever tracked my eating, it helps so much. The support is awesome!! Kinda crazy you get more support and motivation from people you don't really know more than lifelong friends!! Just wanted to say welcome and let the journey begin!!

welcome! you sound just like me :) Always there for my family but I completely forgot about me. I now have made it clear that I need my "me" time in order to feel complete. I do zumba 3 times a week and my hubby is a great support system, he knows that this is a few hrs a week that is strictly for me, it is wonderful!

good luck on your journey :)
  • You bring up a very valid point...logged in BEFORE Facebook!!! Totally addictive...not if only I can become so to exercise...LOL!

I have a problem with eating when I'm bored or doing something mindless, and I also work a desk job! I have a hard time resisting but what works for me is drinking a LOT of water and reminding myself that I have to log everything that I eat and is it really worth it? I also like to surround myself with healthy things like apples, bananas, nuts, and granola bars! That helps me resist the temptation. :) Good luck with your journey :)

Welcome! I've been here only 3 weeks now. This is a great place for encouragement which is what I have been missing in previous attempts at getting into shape. I'm not really losing any weight which is fustrating but I have made friends with my tape measure. I'm hoping if the weight doesn't want to go then maybe the inches do

    Good luck

    Like this!!
I totally agree I will take inches too!
One thing I look at too when I do not see any weight melting away is...at least I am not gaining. I could be gain muscles making for a tone body...lol.
Keep up the work and thank you!

    Have a great day!!
