Calories burned from Plo-X

I can't seem to edit my typo in the heading! Plyo-X not Plo-X!

I am trying to estimate the calorie burn from my P90X Plyometrics workout. I know the textbook answer: it all depends on the individual - weight, fitness level, intensity, etc and the only way to be accurate is to use a heart rate monitor. But I don't have a HRM and don't plan to get one. I'm just looking for a reasonable range so I can plug in my workouts in MFP. I am currently using "Aerobics, high intensity" which gives me something like 568 cal burn for an hour. Someone suggested that this is too low. For what it is worth I am 58, fit but a little overweight at 180, and capable of fairly high intensity level. I run, cycle, and do P90X. I know that this is inadequate information but I'm just looking for some realistic guesses. Thanks!

Mine varies from around 400-700, it just depends on how hard I work that day.

Interesting, I'll have to ponder this. It doesn't allow for variations in weight and such but maybe it is a good rule of thumb. I have to agree with the writer, I could always push harder.

Yeah I'm thinking that my range is probably 500 to 650 since I work hard at Plyo-X everytime, though some more so than others. Thanks!
