I purchased a Dutch Oven...Now What?

Hi Friends,

So I went out and got myself one of these dealios, but now Have no idea what to do with it. Now that the weather is warming up, any tasty spring/summer ideas? I love chicken, or steak. would love some light recipes/cooking ideas!

I use my dutch oven for braising, stews and soups. None of which are particularly spring or summer type recipes. Even though it's spring I'll be making my pork with white beans and cranberries this weekend, here's a link:

A dutch oven is basically what you use instead of a crock pot. So whatever you would make in a crock pot, you can make in a dutch oven.

or just google the S outta that and you'll find some cool stuff. you can do roasts, put all your veggies in with the roast and make it kinda like a stew. or make pulled pork. yum

Not sure if they are the same, but different, but I have a Pampered Chef stoneware Deep Covered Baker. I use it all the time. And where it is stone, I can use it in the microwave to roast chicken, pasta dishes, soups, chowders, etc. PC also has a whole cookbook for the deep covered baker :-)

i'm lol'ing b/c i read the title & thought it was a joke post... i had no idea a "dutch oven" was an actual tangible item! i thought it was when u pass gas & pull the covers over ur head! u learn something new every day :-) LOL!!
