Cookinglight.com is my new favorite friend. As a person who LOVES to cook I am so glad to have found them otherwise this weightloss would be alot harder for me. But, not only do they have great recipes, they have great articles on nutrition and such. They put this one up yesterday (or at least that's when I noticed it) and I found it interesting. Made me switch from having Baked chips with a sandwich at lunch to carrot sticks (which are much tastier and a ton healthier). Just thought I'd share the article here.

thanks for the article.
My thoughts if it did not have a mother or come from the ground...I try not to eat it0 -
Good article! I love Cooking Light. My goal this year has been to eat more "whole" foods. It's still a struggle, especially when you look at a piece of "light" bread (i.e. processed) that has 35 calories, versus a nice piece of Whole Grain Bread with over 100 calories... I try to balance more and cut out the processed stuff where I can though. A big struggle has been giving up Diet Soda!! It's a "treat" now, but I found when I stopped drinking it every day... I wanted it less & less.
Rachel Ray also focuses on more natural ingredients, a more "Mediterranean Diet". I get her magazine, but I think I would prefer Cooking Light, because some of her recipes are still pretty fatty (and they don't have nutrition info included, so you have to add it all up if you are calorie counting). She just suggests eating in moderation... blah blah blah, but that is not so easy for some of us.0
