I am sooo happy! I weigh myself once a week on Thursdays and I just hit the scale and it says I dropped 6 pounds since last Thursday!! Woo-hooo!!:drinker: I am pleased because I know that I have been working hard exercising and watching what I eat and Im glad to see a "pay-off"!
But something tells me I shouldnt expect the same results every week...?:frown: Ok, dont rain on my parade lol, but tell me, is this pretty typical in the beginning and its gonna get to be like an uphill climb even if I do basically the same things every week...?

First of all, congratulations! What a start!!!! Secondly, yes, your body will probably go into a panick mode next week and drop little to no weight, but that's normal. Stick with it and it'll even out eventually and you'll be losing every week.0

For the most part, in the beginning you are shedding a lot of water weight.
I wouldn't totally expect it every week.
However, some others have kept their initial weight loss up in decently high numbers (3-4lbs). It does depend a little on how much you have to lose and the effort of course.
Congrats though on those 6lbs!0 -
Ok, gonna mentally start preparing myself for a possible no weight loss next week...just in case
And thanks you guys for the congrats!

Actually for me I was losing consistently until about 2 weeks ago and I started in August. It just depends. I am back to losing now but it sure was hard when you put in all that work and you gain 2 and then no loss the next week. Just dont give up when you see that happen. It will be hard not to give up but you will overcome that period. There is a thread on here about the levels of weight loss or something like that. You should read it just to see what to expect. Maybe someone on here can find it for you. I dont know how to put them into a thread but others do.

If you have more weight to lose, you can expect your weight loss to be a little more weekly than if you don't have very much to lose. Shoot for 1 to 2 pounds per week from this point on for healthy weight loss (meaning your body is not shedding muscle). It will stay off easier if you lose it slower. Make sure you are doing strength training in your workouts also.0
