I saw this on a recent post (http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/172569-frozen-peanut-butter-cups) and now i HAVE to make these. I don't like reading the peanut butter labels..What brand of peanut butter do you use and why?

Also, the recipe calls for chocolate syrup..do you think Sugar Free will work?

Yes I am sure sugar free syrup would work, as for the peanut butter I don't think it matters which brand you use because unless its all natural peanut butter they all have sugar in them.

I would suggest the Jif Natural. No added anything, and it doesn't separate like most natural PB's.

I tried these (without the chocolate). Good but I used a silicone mini muffin pan and no liners. They were way too sticky to get out of there, so definitely use the little liners!

I used sugar free chocolate on mine... mostly because I knew I'd have to use the 3 TBSP of peanut butter in mine..lol

I actually think next time I make them (and there will be a next time) I might just mix the chocolate in... Because it was hard to measure the choc syrup and then make it look pretty on the cup...
    But they were delicious!

Def my fave MFP recipe so far!

    I mixed the chocolate in.
Also, in that original thread, she said it makes 12. I did it and it made 23 and they were nearly full to the brim of the cupcake paper. So, for 23, it came out to 29 calories each.

Could you even do the PB like this...(I got iit off a forum earlier)

Some people may already know this trick, but here's what I've done:
1 cup of your favorite smooth PB
    4 cups of Greek Yogurt
mix together, plus 1 tbsp vanilla extract and some spice (such as cinnamon, allspice, or whatever else you feel would taste good!)

I store it in a glass bowl in the fridge and use on celery, sandwiches, or for various raw recipes calling for peanut butter.

1 cup of pb normally = 1,520 calories
    1/4 cup of pb = 380 cals

1 cup of this mixture = 510 cals
1/4 cup of this mixture = 127 cals
