IDK! Is there something going on that you haven't dealt with in your life? That is my guess. Sorry I can't give you more answers. I hope you can work though this! Good Luck :)

Are you eating soon enough after a workout? You need to re-fuel, or you crash. Also - if you are using energy drinks.....stop. They can also lead you into a crash after they wear off. Check your diet, eat clean, re-fuel, and rest. Watch that you are not overtraining. :)

It will pass - just start noticing what else is going on around your workout. Good luck!

Might be some kind of dopamine imbalance. I've heard that the day people take MDMA (ecstasy) they get all the expected happy effects but the next day they feel all bummy and depressed because they're out of all the good chemicals. So maybe your brain is releasing all its endorphins too quickly or something.

This is all speculation, btw. I have no idea at all. But that's really interesting. hmm...hope you get it figured out.

I try to treat myself after a workout. For me, I joined a gym that has tanning and I love tanning. So after I'm done working out, I'll go tanning. I feel super pumped and relaxed afterwards. Not saying you have to do that, but think of something you enjoy and tell yourself you can do it once you get done at the gym. Not only will you feel good about working out, but it's followed by something you like to do.

Drink more water! Exercise should make you happy, but if you are dehydrated your body will be at at you.

Do you take stimulants like caffiene before you exercise? If so, lay off those for a couple of weeks and see if that makes a difference. Also, are you getting enough nutrition (not just calories) and drinkIng enough water before, during and after exercise?

not sure, maybe just emotional overload? I had this happen to me once after a really intense yoga workout...started bawling at the very end of the class for absolutely no reason I could think of, only happened once a couple years ago and never since...normally after a workout I feel energized and happy.

i'm not a doctor, but perhaps your blood sugar is too low.

I suggest getting a check up at the doctor and let him/her know about how you feel post workout.

Like some of the posts above, I would really analyze what you are eating beforehand and after...refueling is important. You could be low on iron as well. I read that low iron makes you tired with exercise.....instead of feeling good afterward. Just a thought. Good luck to you.

Oh my gosh you guys its like later in the evening I get so depressed and just want to bawl my eyes out and also am so overly drained..

Consider having some healthy whole grain carbs for energy before your workout... say 30 minutes before. Try a slice of whole grain bread with a tablespoon of Olive Oil or have half of a sandwich. That should help give you energy to get you through the workout better. Make sure to not eat too much though otherwise you should wait an hour or two before the workout.

Then, following the workout, it's imperative to have a Whey protein shake. In fact, you can do two scoops of it to get 50gm of protein. Try Muscle Milk Whey Protein from Costco which is about $35 for a 5lb bag. The protein will really help feed your muscles what they need for nourishment (amino acids). The hope is that feeding it protein, your body will be satisfied and not cause some sort of imballance later in the day.

As was suggested above the issue could be due to low sugar or some sort of insulin burst that consumes the sugar. So, after the protein shake, later in the day have some sort of a fruit, strawberries or grapes, apple, etc.

Finally, you should take your daily Multivitamin. Try OptiWomen from Amazon.com. A Multivitamin will once again ensure that you're getting the right nutrients into the body each day and prevent some sort of imbalance which may be the problem you're experiencing.

If these things don't help go see a specialist/doctor.

Let us know how it works out for you.
