My Body Protests, But The Results Tell A Different Story

So I think I've been here about two weeks? Before then my weight loss since last summer was 90% lack of calories alone and 10% feeble exercise. Since being here I have been beating the hell out of my body everyday.
Planks, leg presses, steps, circuit training, crunches, and the necessary protein shakes to help heal the stuff I tore apart the first couple of days that is still pins-and-needles numb but slowly reviving. :-/
I'm learning new strength training every day and able to easily keep my cardio effective by noting that I can do more repetitions in the same amount of time in my circuits and that my heart rate is not getting slower comparatively. All what I assume to be good things. Then tonight I took my shirt off in front of a mirror...
I'm starting to see stomach definition! Nothing that a hardcore gym junkie would bat an eye at, I'm sure, but understand that last summer I was about 300 pounds and have never seen definition of anything outside of a fat roll in that general region. How exciting! My goal is to be rid of the small love handles I still have on my back and to start seeing some kind of definition on my thighs by fall. This *can* be done. I know it.
