Hey everyone, I am getting a little conerned. Yes I would love to lose weight but in a week and a half I have lost 17 pounds. I had tonsil surgery on March 28th and have not been able to eat much since. I know that is the reasn for the weight loss, but I know that means my body is also starving. I have been trying to do the ensure shakes cause they don't cause me pain to drink. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Can you blend up some smoothies with protein powder in them? Then you'll get protein to keep your muscles from breaking down and you should be able to drink it pretty easily. I loved Designer Whey protein powder and I'd blend it with frozen fruit and soy milk. IT was tasty.

When I had tonsil surgery I went throught the same thing I lost 22 pounds in a week (wish I could do that now) but I found that the best thing is cream soups and I even did just regular chicken noodle soup. Hope you get to feeling better!!!!

When I had my tonsils out I had lots of ice cream. But I also had mashed potatoes but kinda cold because anything hot burned going down.

I would suggest whey protein! i drink some after I workout with chocolate milk.

    Could also make mashed cauliflower.
  • smoothies might help. Maybe a yoghurt based one with frozen fruit (cold + thickener without adding ice). That might help. Maybe add some protein powder in to boost it a bit. Smooth yoghurt in general (no fruit chunks) and applesauce might be good too.

Add some Peanut Butter to your smoothies, along with the protein powder.
