I did it!!!

Yesterday was my first full day back to working out and eating right. Usually, my first day is filled with little fails that make me feel like crap. But yesterday was AWESOME. I did not have one tiny bit of sugar, no chocolate, nothing that was bad for me, aside from a small indulgence with a skinny cow sugar free ice cream sandwich. And hell, I deserved it! Finished out my calorie count quite nicely. I did my first HIIT workout with Turbo Fire, and aside from feeling like I was going to fall over, I finished it. Me!!! I did it! And you know what that tells me? It tells me that I can do it again. If I can last an entire day eating well with no sugar, I can last another entire day. Thinking too far into the future overwhelms me, which in turn causes me to shut down. So, no more thinking about the future. I am taking this one day, one meal, one workout at a time. That way I can make the best choice possible for myself. Last night, I had to order out dinner. My husband was very late coming home, and I hate cooking when he's not here. I let my kids pick the place, and instead of getting my usual 12 inch meatball sub and fries (which, by the way, are greasy and DELICIOUS!), I got a salad with some grilled chicken. And you know what? Instead of feeling stuffed after stuffing my face, I felt satisfyingly full. Not overly full, but nicely full. The kind of full that makes you sit back and think "Yep. I made the right choice, and my body is happy." . I cannot tell you how happy I am with myself. Today is going to be a struggle, but I can do it. No one is going to force me to eat cake today! (we're going to a 5 year old's birthday party) I will eat something before we leave, and when we get home, but I will not eat junk today. I can do it!!
