I am interested in getting one! They seem more accurate than the digital machine calorie counts,,,0

I got mine working in minutes. You set your height, weight and gender and it measures your heart rate as you exercise and woks out how many calories you've burned. The most reliable, or so I've heard, are the ones with a chest strap. I haven't tried any others, so I couldn't say for certain but I'm happy with mine (a polar FT4 which comes with a chest strap).0

If itis a chest strap kind you need to wet the pads a little before puttng it on. Then it needs to sit right under your "girls". The strap is like an EKG and reads the electrical pulses caused when your heart beats. It then relays this data to the watch.
