CAKE!!!

Let me preface this by saying I LOVE cake... or more specifically I LOVE Buttercream frosting...the cake is just the means to get the frosting to my mouth...anyhoo, there was a HUGE cake in the breakroom at work all night last night and I REALLY wanted it. So, after I had my snack (frozen grapes), then my meal, I took a knife and cut off 1 bite...it didn't even cover the whole fork - and ate it. It was DELICIOUS - and was just enough to get the flavor and not feel completely deprived. I really wanted a whole piece (or maybe 10), but resisted.

You have no idea how huge a victory it is for me to resist buttercream frosting that is just sitting there waiting to be eaten! I have even been known to eat buttercream with a spoon...I can't bring it into the house because it is such a problem for me.

Only 1.5 months until my beach vacation - Only 8 more pounds to goal. Feeling proud of myself and motivated today - and hoping I don't sabotage myself this weekend, as weekends are always an issue for me...

Thanks for letting me pat myself on the back! I know so many of you know exactly where I'm coming from!

Congrats!!! I have to deal with the cookies that peolpe bring in and a patient brought us peanut butter fudge this week I totally understand. I did eat a couple peices of fudge BUT i could have eaten the whole plate so it was kinda a victory for me.When you have spent the last 51 yrs eating and loving food everyday saying no I dont need that is a victory.

Ironically weekends are always difficult for me as well. But they are bad for me because I don't eat enough!

Oh, you are after my own heart. And, I made frosting today for some cookies for a dessert auction and ate a bit, but not as much as I would have before. Great job. Way to go on reaching your goal. Can't wait to get there. I am half way and kind of thinking, "Maybe this is as good as it gets right now", but know I need to keep going. Thanks for the inspiration.
