Can you do stationary rowing every day?

I know you arent supposed to work certain muscles every day, you need to cycle through the groups. What about rowing on the stationary machines though? Im only starting my 6th week at the gym but I want to step it up and burn some arm fat. Could I incorporate that in to my daily cardio without harming my body?

    listen to your body

also, rowing (or erging) on the machines at the gym is really easy to do incorrectly - there is a very specific technique as to when in the process you use which muscles

there are some really good videos on youtube if you type in "proper erg technique" or "proper rowing machine form"

    good luck!

added one in for you (not I'm not going to rick roll you) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhGfdYlXqBI

Lol! When I'm on the stationary bike my dog stares at me like "When you decide to go somewhere, let me know"

I don't know if you should do it every day. But I've been doing it 3-5x / week and see pretty good results. My arms, chest, back, sides, and abs are all benefitting from it.

If that is what you like to do, then that is fine, but it won't burn arm fat any faster than the treadmill, or elliptical trainer. You might see some toning in your arms, and back a little more with it, but your body will burn fat where it wants to. Not where you want it to. Cardio is cardio.

It depends how you row. I do it every day for weightloss by going for time and distance. It's a full-body workout, exercising all the large muscle groups. If/when I do sprint training, or a strength training profile, I would put rest days in between. RowPro creates a pretty good training plan with your goals in mind, but I find the workouts start out too short in the beginning. Enjoy!

Well thanks guys! Ive been doing it every day and my muscles arent feeling overly fatigued so I dont seem any harm in it. Plus, Im getting tone. Its something fun to do rather than all the same old cardio!
