Soo...I'm not sure where else to post this, but I know that I wanted to write down how I feel because this helps me focus more on my goals.

Basically, I've been doing really well. I've been losing weight by eating healthy and exercising. I also gave up alcohol and I'm proud to say I have stuck this one out (surprisingly). Last weekend I went on a road trip to Tallahassee with one of my best friends and I was able to resist not only the large amounts of alcohol available (I drank sugar free redbull instead) but I also stayed under my calorie goal. I was and am very proud of myself for this.

This weekend I'm going on another roadtrip to Savannah, GA. I'm excited but nervous at the same time b/c alcohol will be available and also lots and lots of junk food (i'm going with some frat guys and sorority girls from my school). I know I will face all kinds of temptation, but I'm packing apples, bananas, cocoa roasted 100 cal packs, and a sandwich to bring with me on the trip.

I've made it this far and I KNOW I can keep on going. Just needed to vent and write about it. I need to remember how GOOD I felt last weekend after I made it without messing up. Hopefully, this will keep me going. Any support/motivation is also appreciated, since it's bc of this site that I've been able to maintain such a positive attitude.

You're on the right track. Even if you stumble, no need to give up on the race! :flowerforyou:

    Have fun! :drinker:

It used to be a lot harder for me to fit my life around this, but you know what, all my friedns actually get it, and some of them have started making healthier lifestyle options as well! You can do this, you HAVE done this and you WILL KEEP GOING because you know you haven't dedicated all this effort to give up over a roadtrip, right?? You sound prepared, just try to stick to your plan as much as possible, we all know stuff happens!!
  • You're definitely doing the right thing -- enjoying your friends and still staying true to your goals.

This makes you have a lifestyle change, not a temporary diet.

You might also inspire someone who is admiring your newfound healthy lifestyle.

Thank you guys!! Ahhh...you're all right  I'm just gonna relax, have fun, and still make conscious decisions. I know I can do this, I just start overthinking it instead of enjoying the moment
