I hear it's around 600 calorie per hour with Zumba, of course it depends on height, weight, age and how much your heart rate goes up.0

Hi there!
I use the Zumba for Wii quite a bit, and before I got my HRM, I was wondering how to calculate calories too. MFP doesn't have it, or anything like it, in their exercise database, so I had to google the information. The estimate I used to use was that 30 minutes of Wii Zumba burned 250 calories (unfortunately, after I actually got a HRM, this turned out to be quite underestimated). But in the absence of any other estimates, you could use that one. Or you could google it further. Good luck!
I have a blast with it too - it's quite a challenge to keep up with that girl sometimes, but no matter what you do, you're burning tons of calories - and it's fun!

Hi....I just started using it too and I love it, great calorie burn! I put it under dance, aerobic, ballroom...etc. I did some research online and that seemed to jive with what the sites were saying.....happy Zumbaing!0

I have been using Ballroom Dancing Fast. It is pretty close to what my HRM says.0

I just got mine too. when you do it do you do the classes or zumbathon??0

i just go with
Dancing, aerobic, ballet or modern, twist
hope that helps
oh and i rather underestimate then to overestimate0 -
i do what fabio said ) i'd rather account for less calories burnt than accidentally more & eat calories i haven't burnt. )0

I do Zumba often and I just log my Zumba on MFP under Dance, aerobic! I don't have my HRM yet either and don't know how accurate it is, but then again I don't know how accurate anything really is without an HRM!0

Thank you everyone...i do do not want to overestimate either....so underestimating is the best! you all rock0
