How long did you guys notice any real results while on MFP? I mean i've lost 5 pds since i've started, and some clothes are looser. Maybe i'm just expecting too much too soon :drinker:

Honestly, it's been only in the past few weeks that I've really noticed the difference in myself. Sort of when I hit about 20 pounds lost. Some people notice it straight away, but it's taken me a while to get to that point. I've only recently gone down a size and people are only just starting to notice the difference in me!
I guess it's all how and where we lose the weight first0 -
No results yet in terms of weight loss--on the other hand there has been no gain so I know it's working in that regard. Once I give up the free food at work and start eating better on business trips I'm sure I'll start to see a loss. The other good news is since I started tracking my workouts I'm seeing a difference in the overall shape I'm in--looks great muscle wise!0

My scale weight keeps fluctuating, but the measurements today told me I'd lost inches. I've been here for about a month and know I am expecting too much too quickly, but it sure felt good to see those measurements!0

When I first started my journey at 198 I really didnt notice a big difference until I had lost nearly 20lbs. This time around I started at 186 and have lost 12lbs so far and just noticed today how loose my pants are. I think it is different for everyone. Every single pound counts and adds up so enjoy every little noticible change and even the not so noticible ones:)0

Hi,
When I lost my weight (began in August 2006 at 197 pounds), I lost about 30 pounds before anyone else noticed. Of course, I hadn't bought any new clothes that actually fit me yet, so it took me buying a pair of jeans that actually fit (going from a Size 18 to a Size 13--the same size I wore in high school) before anyone noticed. I knew I had lost because I was on the scale.
Over the course of about 15 months, I lost 72 pounds, regained 22, have lost 9 (or 8 or 10, depending on the day ). I've been bouncing around between 137 and 140 for about a month......and I'm OK with that. I'd prefer it to be between 130-135, but in all honestly, I'm a happy girl any time the scale is below 140. I still try to track my exercise and what I eat on a daily basis....but I also allow myself to have "days off" when I have something special going on.
Good luck......remember, you didn't put your extra weight on overnight......you won't take it off overnight either.

Well last night my fiance and I went out with a friend who we haven't seen since fall last year and he said he could tell a difference, so I guess something is working!0
