i went on line and for 1 cup of flour it says the following

A US cup (240mL) of flour is about 125 grams

I suggest getting a food scale. i have one and would die without it. i ordered it off of Amazon and it was $25.

Shelly - just google pounds (or ounces or whatever it is) to kg. I do that all the time if I'm using an online recipe and it uses the Imperial system instead of metric.

Important point to remember here. The Cup measurement used in US is a measure of volume not mass. So a Cup of cornflakes does NOT weigh the same as a cup of butter for example.
I used to be a chef and it is a pain in the proverbial because you can't convert all the ingredients the same!
However, some of the online calculators automatically include the different food densities in the conversion. Just be careful and look out for that.
I'm sure it's commonly understood in America, but here in the UK it isn't widely at all.

You can get measuring jugs which show cups on them. It doesn't help the conversion but at least you can follow the recipe.
