Juice = fruit - fiber = sugar
I'd cut out the cereal and just have oatmeal like she said. It's more filling than cold cereal.0 -

Agreed, I heart plain oatmeal!0 -
i tend to go over my sugar intake as well. especially when i eat fruits since theyre high in it
i was out this morning so before i left my house, i just had an apple. then around 11, i had my brunch which was half of my lunch from yesterday (sounds gross but its not that gross haha), so i had half of a chicken salad wrap. very filling but the chicken salad is made by using mayo and mayo isnt the best thing to eat so i guess its high in calories and such. anyways, you had healthy foods but i think the naked juice was the food that affected your sugar intake. just try not to eat too much sugar-y foods throughout the day0 -
Stay away from juice, eat the fruit. Yes, fruit has sugar in it, but it also has fiber and nutrients that you need. The only time I use juice is making dressing for my salad!0

I bought the naked juice because of all the veggies and fruit in it. & I drink it with my protein mix. Should i cut it out because the amount of sugar in it?0

Juice isn't the best food - so much sugar and so little fiber... You get a sugar spike with nothing to mellow it out!
Almond milk can have a lot of sugar too, if you don't buy the unsweetened. "Original" just means unflavored, not unsweetened, so check the label...0 -
I eat very little fruit and if so, only fresh. I avoid juices all together and try to up the vegetable intake with snacks of raw vegetables rather than fruit. I can't handle much sugar at all and just about all prepared food has tons of it. Avoiding sugar "ain't easy" I would say.0

For a satisfying breakfast with a low sugar count you may want to try making this hugh bowl of oatmeal with only 190 calories and 1 sugar.
Boil one cup water and one cup unsweetened vanilla breeze almond milk.
Add 1/2 C. oatmeal and if you like add some cinnamon....cook for a little longer than recommended...let it sit and the liquid will absorb into the oats.....allowing you to eat a hefty bowl of oatmeal. I like to sweeten my oatmeal with Splenda. I read about this on the Hungry Girl site...it's sooooooo good! I like to make up enough for four breakfast so I use 4c. water 4c.almond milk and 2c. oats. Once it sits up just divide it in fourths and your good to go for four breakfasts. Enjoy!0 -
Not saying avoid fruits. But check the fruits you are eating. Certain fruits have a LOT of sugar in them, which will spike insulin, make you hungry, etc, etc you eat more.
Instead of bananas, go for Strawberries. They have more potassium.
Instead of Oranges, go for .... strawberries!!!! More Vit C as well
Good list of fruits that won't spike your blood sugar, but will help curb sweet cravings:
- Any berry. berries are awesome
- Apples
- Papaya
- Nectarines
- Peaches
- Watermelon
Stay away from dried fruits too.0 -

Great suggestion!! Does it heat up thick??0 -
At first it seems to thin, but if you let it sit for 10 min or so it thickens up. My suggestion would be if your going to make it up for four days to cut back a little on the water. If you like oatmeal..and I love it! I believe this will become a favorite!0
