another sugar question.

So I bought green machine naked juice because of all the fruits and veggies in it. It says there is no sugar added only the sugar from the ingredients in the juice. I'm not sure I should be drinking it because 4oz was 14 grams of sugar. That's alot! Thoughts?

Also, I bought acai vitamin super chews. In one chew there is 3grams of sugar. Should I keep on taking these or forget it? It says it's good for energy?

Has anybody taking these two products? Just curious.

Sugar from fruits is generally OK since it's natural sugar. It's very hard to eat your fruits and stay "within" the sugar limits. I actually don't even show sugars on my micronutrients because I know when I am high in sugars from bad foods and I don't worry about it from fruits. Granted TONS of sugar (ie if you just drank fruit juice all day instead of water or milk or whatever) is not good - but odds are if you get TOO much sugar from juices you will get high on your calories anyway, so stay w/in your calories. You CAN be super stringent on the fruit sugars - it works for some people - but I never found it necessary.

No idea on the other but I would be somewhat wary anyway of a vitamin that claims to be an energy booster.

I don't worry about sugar from natural sources, such as fruits and vegetables. Fruits and veggies didn't make me overweight, and medical officials report that they're an important part of our daily diet. I only focus on sugars from outside sources - bread, cake, candy, sauces, etc.
