Sedentary or Lightly Active????

I am confused on the how Sedentary or Lightly Active. I am a photo tech at a Walmart (Taking care of customers with photos and also working with electronics so saleswomen) and am on my feet 38hrs a week. I have two days off and just spend it at home exercise or house cleaning. Do I put myself under Sedentary like I have or do I but it under Lightly Active? Not to mention that Right now I am doing 1370 calories and am lightheaded or should I instead of losing 1.5 lbs a week do 1lb a week.
Any advice would help me out.
Thanks in Advance.
This is MFP's Definition of things
Sedentary: Spend most of the day sitting (e.g. bank teller, desk job)
Lightly Active: Spend a good part of the day on your feet (e.g. nurse, salesman)

Go for lightly active, and try that for a week or so. If you are still feeling dizzy/light headed please lower your goal loss to 1lb a week. That is the recommended loss rate, and the 'easiest' to follow since it allows you more food each day.
Great job so far btwIt's important to eat all you can within the goals here to fuel your body as it makes changes.

I consider myself active but I put on there sedentary- because I don't want to eat too much on my off days, and when I run, I eat more.0

If you're on your feet at work, I would say lightly active. And the lightheadedness is NOT good. There's a good chance you burn more calories than you think when you're on your feet all the time and you need to eat a bit more each day. Either changing your activity level or weekly goals should help with that.0

I would put Lightly Active. You're on your feet constantly.0

sounds like you are lightly active to me0

Being on your feet that much would be more lightly active, I would think... And switching to 1 pound a week would probably help too...0

my guess would be that you're definitely not sedentary, plus if you're feeling light-headed, you may need more. even though your body is probably in a state of shock, i'd set it to "lightly active" if i were you. based on how many pounds you are interested in losing a week, that's up to you, but if you do less pounds/wk, it may be more sustainable for you in the long run, but on the other hand if you do about 2lbs a week, know your calorie intake is gonna be low but you'll get to your goal a little faster. Personally, I think 1370 is good, also in terms of feeling light-headed, make sure you are eating nutrient-rich food that gives you the energy your body needs to function at its highest level throughout the day. hope this helped!0

I agree, you're lightly active. If you're getting dizzy, you're not eating enough. Adjust your calories down on your days off if you dont do anything.
Good luck :flowerforyou:0 -
i'd go with lightly active for sure. i would not log your regular 'day off' activities unless it's a true workout, but if you are on your feet through out your usual workday, that's definitely not sedentary0

Would not drinking enough water make a different too?0

Thanks that really helps0

You should be drinking a lot of water! dehydration could cause lightheadedness!!!0 -
You sound lightly active. If you're on your feet that much at work, I wouldn't put you in the same category as someone with a desk job. And on your days off, it sounds like you're still moving - not sitting on the couch.0

Thanks. This is really helping me. I knew getting on here was the best thing for me.0 -
At a cost of few dollars you can buy a pedometer. Wear it while working to find out if you're not moderately active? I brisk walk 1-2 hours to define myself lightly active. Go ahead brand me a lazy sedentary if one who is on her feet all day and yet considered lightly active!!! :laugh:0
