Night shift workers I post this yesterday on my page, but I need to let everyone who works night and still manage to survive through the day that you are strong, inspiration, encouragement, motivational, people. You works night but still make time to deal with family, friends and everyday ups and downs in life but hears the best part (wait for it, wait) lol find time to exercise and eating healthy for whatever your reasons. On top of that sill make time to praises others. Thank MFP website for making it easy to track calories. Thanks for being you (super moms, dads, friends, hubbies, wives, heroes). we survive somehow lol, it's hard going when you work nights as even on a night off you have a hard time getting a decent sleep, it's nice to see how others cope sometimes and I agree well done all those who try their hardest whilst working unsociable hours x

It's great to log on and see others "awake" and struggling w/the same things that working nights create!

Been going the graveyard shift for 3 years now. I've gotten as used to it as one can. My problem lies in logging my food on MFP. My shift is 8pm-8am, 3 days on and 3 days off. I tend to want to log the food on the following day when I work, but that leaves problems on my first day off and first day back to work. How do you deal with this? I guess I could always do midnight to midnight, but that would be really bothersome.

@Gary I don't break my schedule on my off day I usually keep on my work schedule. Meaning I sleep during the day and stay woke at night on my off day. I am not a morning person for some strange reason my body responsed better at night. I have notice that most people that works night do midnight to midnight, it's not bothersome once you get use to the adjustment

I have been on nights for years, kind of used to it but still amazed at the long term health effects.

Lower life span, higher obesity rates etc.

Add me if you want and we can take over the night TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also stay on the same schdual when I am not at work. I Changed names on my food diary before work, during work, after work. I log on the next day,(helps that I don't log my food till after my lunch.) like today is Monday for my food and exercise.

I've been on rotating shifts for about 17 years now. I rotate days to nights every week. It definitely takes it's toll on you.
