Anyone tried Kefir? Did it help with the weight loss? I just found out about it last week. Found a store over an hour away that I was going to be by and got 2 bottles. The closer store that I found, didn't have flavors that I would like.

Just wondering if it has helped with weight loss or is it not worth the time

    That's that wonky yoghurt stuff?

Used to get quite a bit of that when I loved in the Eastern Bloc, but had no idea it was supposed to be a dietary aid?! :o

I've never heard that it is a dietary aid. But it does have probiotics in it and is very good for you. In moderation! We have a local grocery store that carries it in Strawberry, Blueberry, Peach, Cherry and plain. LOVE IT! And it's 99% lacotse free (which means my daughter can have it!) so we love it!

Its basically like very thin yogurt. Its quite tasty, and has most of the health benefits of yogurt. However it can have a substantial amount of saturated fat, so I would use moderation. It can also be pretty high in calorie. Overall, its a good whole food though.

Thanks all. It is quite good and does taste alot like yogurt. I had it for breakfast this morning and it filled me up. But I don't think it is worth the drive. I will just get a probiotic supplement from the health food store.
