You're kidding!! Fergie is only 5'2". There's no way! Her legs are too long!

These celebs must have tiny frames because If I weighed 100-ish pounds at 5'7 I would look positively sickly. My goal is 135.

Not to be mean but was this supposed to inspire me? Not one of those women were over 140 pounds and many of them were underweight for thier hight. Actresses are not a good example of "normal" women's true body types by any stretch of the imagination. And I don't want to compare myself to them because if I did I would be a wreck!

I totally agree...none of them sound like they need "airbrushing" to me! They are all unrealistically thin for the normal person.

Why are all the tall ones so freaking light??

I'm 5'11, and I'll be excited when I get to 140... these women are 5'10/5'11 and are still like 120. :(
I mean, if you really look at the list all of them weigh about the same amount, with one or two outliers, regardless of height. It's kind of discouraging.

beyonce and mariah are the only ones who seem healthy!!
  • OMG...That's crazy! Most of them are too thin for their height. And I agree that I thought Fergie was taller. And I thought Reese was shorter.

I refuse to accept that celebs would be HONEST about how much they weigh! Take this with a pinch of salt as they are more than likely lying a little bit! All the ones on that list who are 5ft 9" like me are ridiculously light according to that list. More than a few white lies going on there!

If I were a celeb I would definitely not broadcast how much I weigh!

They have to airbrush them so you don't see their bones sticking out and bad skin from being mal-nurished.

I'm starting to feel like the ideal female weight (according to magazines and pop culture) is 100-120 lbs regardless of height. So I'm thinking some of these must be a lie. Or they starve themselves until they fit into the ideal weight category.

I guess if I had the money to hire a personal chef and trainer that lived in my house, I might be like them. Of course, their entire world revolves around looking a certain way, so they can spend 8 hours in the gym. The rest of us out here in the real world, have jobs and families that require most of our time.

Frankly, I think too many of these girls look like lollipops - skinny bodies with big round heads on top. And how sad that Beyonce, Mariah and CZJ are often refered to in the tabloids as chunky or thick. Just shows how screwed up Hollywood is.

I'm not female but am around them enough to know that this is not really an encouraging topic. I especially knew that when I see Calista Flockhart at the top of the list who is known to be disgustingly skinny. I think all this did was make a lot of women who weigh more than these women on the list feel just a bit crappier about their situation :(

i call bs on this list! here's a tidbit from an interview with rebecca romijin from an interview with self a few years ago:

“Romijn actually has no idea how much weight she gained - or has since lost. ‘I haven’t owned a scale in years,’ she says. Weighing herself was too ‘crazy-making,’ as she puts it. But Romijn does know that just every report on her weight was highly exaggerated. ‘During my period of relaxation, one of the tabloids said I went from 125 pounds to 145. Well, when I did my first Sports Illustrated cover [in 1999], which was my very thinnest, I weighed 140. So the numbers don’t mean anything."

here's a link to her swimsuit cover when she weighed in at her *lowest* ever of 140:

find some good celebrities to fawn over! rebecca romijin is one of my personal heroes for her honesty!

I AGREE. I would be thrilled to be the size of Beyonce or Drew Barrymore when I accomplish my weight loss goals.

I also AGREE that a lot of the celebrities are too slender for their height.

For those upset by this post...No offense was intended.
I found the article and thought is was interesting trivia others may like to read.
  • What's funny is I was browsing through this list of actresses that are my height (5'8"). The healthy weight range for this height is 122-164. I am currently at 165 (even though most of that is in my boobs). I was trying to see if it was possible for my "hourglass" figure to weight in at 122. Only ONE of these ladies are in the healthy weight range (you go Catherine Zeta Jones!) which is sad as I idolize Kate Beckinsdale. So so sad that these 'role models' are construing our mental health in what is "fit."
  • That's not fair though... I'm 5'7"-5'8" and eat the right foods and eat over 2,200 calories a day and i'm only 120 lbs. I just have a fast metabolism. Quit saying we're sticks or sickly because some of us can't help it....
