Yesterday i walked on school track for 30 mins. and i drank some diet green tea with citrus and it gave me energy, so i felt pretty good when i got home from work, so i did 25 mins of step aerobics with my video.
I felt really good til i went to the grocery store last night, ( i had to get groceries ).
Now this morning, my legs are so tired that i cannot exercise, so i think i will take the day off to rest my legs today and start over tomorrow.
I know this don't sound like too much exercise, but i am just starting to exercise again, i have not exercised in a long time. I lost 1 lb since yesterday for exercising twice yesterday, i wish i could do it everyday, but maybe later, for now i think i need to focus on mostly working out in the mornings and then when i get better used to working out i can gradually add the afternoon workouts.
I used to exercise alot, everyday, and then quit, and my problem is i am trying to pick up where i left off, but i can't. I am like a beginner again since i have not exercise much in about 3 years.

Remember that slow and steady wins the race!! Start building up again, but you have to start slowly. Good luck!

Good on you for getting back to it again - you're right, starting slower is a good plan, if you ge an injury you won't be able to exercise.
Chill out today and start again (gently!) tomorrow.

:flowerforyou: Yes...it's a good idea to take a rest day today. My body tells me when I'm tired from too much exercise...so it is likely that you over did it. Like you said, it's been a while. Good luck on your journey

First of all, KUDOS to you. Sounds to me you are very enthusiastic. I like it.

Slow and steady, does win the race. It does sound like a lot of leg work you've done yesterday. I'm sure you will build up to that level very quickly; just give yourself time to work and time to recover.

If you're concerned about skipping a day. Alternating days of your workout might help. Today can be good day for upper body strength training. Build some muscle to kick-up your metabolism. Remember to keep it real and don't over do it.

I think you are doing great. :) keep up the great work. It is great to give yourself a day off, but sometimes it is good to work thru the soreness. When you get home tonight do some stretching (make sure you do it after walking too). Yoga is also good.

    Good luck to you
