I got a magic bullet blender for my birthday so now I can make smoothies and I love this one I made which is also very low cal:

1/2 cup frozen strawberries halved (42g)
60-70g of frozen bananas sliced
70g frozen blueberries (I use the dole ones)
100g skim milk
50g blueberry yogurt (I have the biobest wild blueberry one right now)

198 calories
53g carb (due to the fruit)
2g fat
8g protein
20% calcium

Both sound yummy, that is the next thing I am going to purchase, a blender . Mine broke probably a year ago and I hadn't replaced it.

You can add a little spinach to any fruit smoothie for extra antioxidants. It's virtually calorie free, and you can't taste it if you blend it up with fruit... I swear. :)

I was planning to add spinach, and then my spinach went bad and I haven't purchased any since haha. Next time I go shopping!

    try this one:

    1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
    1 banana
1 cup frozen strawberries or raspberries
    1/2 cup frozen mango
    2 T. flax oil
    1 cup nonfat organic yogurt

i add about 1/2 cup of filtered water to the mix before whirling, this makes 2 nice servings. good for sharing if you are a stickler for freshness, as am i, i cut ingredients by half if it's just for me. smoothies just don't taste right unless just made...ENJOY!

    :drinker:

p.s. no need for ice because of the frozen fruit, all ingredients @ trader joes except the flax oil, they have the BEST deal on frozen fruit!

I had a smoothie for breakfast. Chocolate Soy Protein powder, 1/2 frozen banana, 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, 1 cup water, 1 Tbs milled flax seed and I threw in a handful of spinach. This is the first time I tried the spinach. I could not taste it, but the smoothie was WONDERFUL. 250 calories packed with protein, fiber and good fat.
