I have been taking hour long Zumba classes religiously five days a week for the past month and I feel and see a difference. I have been doing nothing more besides that and a change of diet. Has anyone lost weight by taking Zumba classes, and if so how long did it take to lose some significant weight?

I've just started Zumba..about a few weeks ago and I love it. I have lost a little weight by doing this. More so than running or swimming or even biking. I think it's the change of pace, something new.0

I go to Zumba twice a week (one hour classes) The first week I stated them I lost 3lbs but since then haven't seen much change. But I wasn't eating right until just last week so I am hoping that will change. I do feel better though when I do the classes and eat right!
Good luck!!0 -
Crystal, your results sound great and encouraging, I would love to lose about two pounds a week.0

I love zumba, sooooooo muhc, it is so much fun? I too saw about a 2-3lb loss the first week of taking classes, two times a week but nothing since. I think I am not eating enough calories. I have trouble eating all my calories so I think that's why I'm not losing. If I can't find something "good for me" to eat then I'd just rather not eat but that's not working so good, so I am slowly coming up with things I need to buy at the store so I can eat more and eat better,
I eat oatmeal religously every morning with 1% milk and 2-3 tsp. of sugar. I've been buying celery and eating that with peanut butter. Yesterday I made tuna salad and had it with whole wheat crackers, so I'm working on it.
I've also just gotten the zumba for kinect so now I can do my zumba at home on the days they don't offer classes.0
