Polar Chest Strap- Washing?

I can not find my book for my Ft4 and am wondering how I was the chest strap in the washer- Do I wash WITH or WITHOUT laundry soap? I really need to get it cleaned, but afraid the laundry soap is going to ruin it.

    I wash mine in the washing machine on cold with soap and with a regular load of laundry. Then I let it air-dry.

    Yes, I need to know this too....I keep getting paranoid that it will get caught in the washer thing...(don't know the technical term for it...lol...) you know, like my socks do sometimes....

    I wash mine with the general washing every time I run (over 1 year now) with no ill effects!

    I put mine in a lingerie bag (so I don't have to worry about it getting twisted up) and then in with a regularl load. Try not to dry it but I've forgotten a couple of times and it seems to do ok.

    As mentioned - I just put mine in a normal wash.
    It's been fine :O)

    FYI- Strap still works after being dried. I only know this because I had forgot I put it in the washer when I found it in the dryer. Thank goodness it still works

    I bring it into the shower and shampoo it after my workout. I let it air dry.
