Get a decent scale, put it your bathroom, and use that :)

It's not uncommon for scales to be different, so the best advice what be to use the same method all the time and weigh at the same time of day when you do so that it is more accurate.

Exactly. Use the same scale to track your progress. I would definitely purchase a new scale rather than use the board. Also you want to weigh yourself only after you use the bathroom in the morning. Your weight changes through out the day so the morning after you use the restroom is the best time.

Agreed. I know that there is a 4lb difference between my scale at home and my Dr. scale. I also know that I - like most people - weigh more in the evening than I do in the morning. I have a Wii fit board, and have found it to be fairly decently accurate; but you DO need to use it on a regular basis at the same time. I generally weigh myself first thing in the morning, within 15 minutes of when I wake up. It works for me. The Wii board isn't bad, just use it enough to get a general sense of how you're doing and use it at the same time each time with the same clothes for accuracy.

Weight will fluctuate from day-to-day, and even within the same day. How 'accurate' your scale is is less important than if it is consistent. Your Wii should do just fine, as long as you are consistent in your time of weighing as others have suggested. I personally weigh in every Monday morning, after toilet, before shower.

Many people become obsessed with the scale, but it does nothing but hamper them for it adds stress every time they see it move in the wrong direction ever so slightly. The scale is just one tool to help you see your changes, but certainly should not be your own metric of success.

    This ^

I actually had two scales in my bathroom during the larger portion of my journey. Obsessed, yep. Room for error, NO.

I agree with PPs! Get a bathroom scale and use that, and make sure to be consistent about the time of day you weigh yourself. I weigh in Saturday mornings when I wake up, after I use the restroom. You can get a good bath scale for under $20.

I have the Wii Fit, too. The balance board sits on carpet when I use it so I know the weight it gives me is not accurate.

Thank you ! I am going to go shopping for a scale. I only weigh myself once a week I don't want to drive myself CRAZY ! I do it Monday about 5 min after I wake up.
Thank you all so much for the Quick response !

My Wii Fit consistently tells me I'm 5-10 lb less than my bathroom scale does (and I've had confirmation of the bathroom scale weight at the doctor's office). This may be my particular board, and may be the result of not using the Wii Fit for several years, and then starting back up, but either way, I'd recommend going the bathroom scale route.
