Need 50g of Fiber Daily

Options
I have an issue with built up toxins in my system. It hinders my weight loss. Byron Richards suggests that someone like myself needs 50 - 60grams of fiber daily.

I take psyllium husk, but the amount of psyllium to get to that daily fiber amount is hard to swallow... Pun intended...

Does anyone have a suggestion for a capsule that has a high fiber count?

Not sure about a capsule, but try Benefiber. It mixes in water and you cannot even tell it is in there (not cloudy or weird taste).

Also wanted to add - I looked at your diary. You can track your fiber intake by changing this in "Settings" under your Food Tab.

No you don't. That's almost impossible. Stick with the high 20s to low 30s.

You've lost 76lbs. How has your weight loss been hindered? You've lost an average of 9.5lbs per month!! I think you're doing great! If you have hit a plateau:

You can also search the message boards. Most of them say to re-calculate your goals (dropping your loss per week goal) which will up your calories to get off the plateau.

Who is Byron Richards. Is he your doctor? How would he know if you have toxin build up in your body?

And most doctors will recommend Metamucil.

Sweating and peeing also get rid of toxins.

Raspberries are a good source of fiber. It's close to 7 grams in a cup.

I have hit a lull in my weight loss. I still have 50lbs to go.

Bryon Richards is a Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist and Thyroid and Leptin expert. He doesn't know my situation personally... I just now it. I can tell by the way my body feels. Ridding myself of toxins is what has gotten me this far and it is what will help me get further along... Exercise and a good diet has never done it for me... This was the final key that I needed to make my weight loss vehicle work.

I can get the right amount of fiber with psyllium husk but that means more protein shakes for meals or drinking it straight with water. Worse case I will just not do it all at once, because all at once was just nasty. LOL
