Where are you going on vacation? Is there a gym at the hotel? A pool? Lots of walking? In the first case, sure, bring your clothes, but one of the things I like about vacation is being able to do something different for awhile. We recently went to the Caribbean and spent hours walking around town each day, plus a walk along the beach each evening.0

My big thing is that i have been working so hard to get where im at. That i don't want to mess up.0

I would definitely bring the clothes in case you need em. Check outg if there is a gym either in a hotel or nearby. There's always opting to walk whenever possible and my personal favorite, swimming! Check out some of the online resources that tell you how much you burn doing certain things and for what period of time to give you a rough estimate of how long you should do stuff. Good luck!0

bring your workout clothes. then when you get there, if you decide to raelly take some time off, then do it. but if you decide to go ahead and get a workout or two in, then you came prepared.0

Bring your work-out clothes. If you don't have them with you, you'll be smacking your forehead and going "Doh!" If you have them with you, you can fit in a few workouts.0

Bring the clothes and sneakers..so if you get the chance grab it. Your friends will understand. Maybe while they sleep in..you can run out for a quickie..lol...0

I went to Cancun last September and was determined not to gain the usual 10 lbs I gain every vacation. It was four of us. Two of us worked out daily. We got up early while the others were sleeping. We also walked many many miles in Cancun. I still gained weight but it was 5 lbs instead of 10. Take your clothes!0

Yes! Bring them. You can get up early and go work out while your friends are still sleeping. Then, you'll have a nice boost of energy for the day!!0 -
Yeah, why not? I would. I went on a week long cruise and worked out every day one way or another.0

And it sounds like your travel companions will make that easy to do. It just won't do any good to take your workout clothes if you don't have a plan - like a hotel gym. You might need to schedule time away from them - phrase it as getaway time or something that doesn't cause them to try to convince you to have another drink with them instead of working out. However, if you are willing to lighten up on yourself (a brisk walk instead of kickboxing, for example) you might get one of your friends to join you!
Whatever you decide - HAVE FUN!0 -
Absolutely!!! I always bring workout clothes when I go on vacation. You can work out in the morning before you and the girls get together. You'll regret it if you don't!!!0

Definitely bring them!!! I always find it SO peaceful to workout while on vacation...believe it or not!! I wake up earlier than everyone else, and 'get it over with' right away...while the rest of the world is still sleeping....and then I feel SO GREAT about myself the rest of the day!! Have fun!!0

I agree with the other posters - bring your clothes. I always pack one set of workout clothes...just in case. Sometimes I don't end up using them, but I would rather that then feel like working out and not have them!0

Bring your clothes and get some exercise in. If the girls you are going with don't exercise...that means they are either naturally in shape, or they are not concerned with their fitness and weight like you are..sadly those of us on here are not naturally in shape and we do care about our weight loss. So...if you are with them and don't try to stick to some of your routine, you run the risk of falling into their habits. At least if you exercise a bit, and stay active, any foods or drinks you indulge in won't make that much of a difference. Bring them, work out early and enjoy the rest of your time...plus it will set you on the path to make good chocies throughout the day : ).0

I run on all my vacations. I logged ~ 35-40 miles per week running around Europe & South America. As an extra added bonus I was able to scout out all sorts of places to go and things to do with the family.0
