Calories burned during Insanity workouts?

Does anyone know a ballpark range of the calories burned during each "Insanity" workout? There's nothing in the database, and I don't have a HRM or anything like that... Any guesses at all would be appreciated.

It would be different for every person depending on size, and effort etc..0

I don't have a HRM either- I use High Intensity Aerobics and it seems close to what my friend gets on her HRM. I use the home calisthenics for the recovery video and the Insane Abs. Not perfect, but it gives me some idea.0

I burn between 300-500 each night. I can't do all the push up moves but I modify and keep my heart rate up the entire time.0

I used an HRM so it would vary. For me it was in the range of 600-700 for the 1st month's exercises and 900-1000 for max 2nd month's exercises. An HRM will help w/ this tremendously.0

I've googled what others have burned with Insanity and the average seems to be about 100 calories burned per 10 minutes. Like someone else said, it's going to be different for everyone, but I thought that was a good estimate.
Sandy - If you haven't already gotten a bunch of messages about Insanity, send me a message and I'd be happy to tell you about the program.0 -
I've only just started using my heart rate monitor during Insanity. So far I've gotten 400-500 calories on the month 1 40-minute videos. But it would probably depend on one's size and all. I would guess that the month 2 videos would burn closer to 1000 calories.
Sandyw127, Insanity is a plyometric (i.e. jumping) cardio workout series by Beachbody (the company that makes P90X and other programs). It combines cardio, strength, and core. I like them a lot because they are intense but pretty short. Except once you get into month two, where the workouts are about an hour. It's hard on the knees, but it's a GREAT workout program.0 -
During the first month I used to burn between 450-500 and during month two (because the workout are longer) about 600-700. But that also depends on your weight.0

Thanks so much for all the input, everyone! I think I'm def going to look into buying a HRM. I'm so curious to see exactly how much I'm burning....
Keep digging, and keep sweating! :happy:0
