Calories burned v. weight

I'm 5'5" 103 lbs. and I started exercising because I'm out of shape but do not want to lose any weight. I'm taking a step aerobics class and a zumba-style class, and according to the exercise log, I only burn 245(high impact aerobics) and 300(step) in a 45 minute fast-paced class. On other posts people have said they burn 600 calories in 1 hour of Zumba, which would be 400 in my class time. Do people who weigh less burn less calories in the same amount of time?

Yes. It takes less energy to move a smaller mass than a larger mass over the same distance.0

This is true...I am 200 pounds, I will use many more calories than you at only 100 pounds! Which is good for me and actually good for you too since you say you do not want to lose much, just wanting to get into shape!0
