pms cravings and blowing it today

UGH!!! PMS and the red tide and I caved and got so hungry and ate a few scoops of raw cookie dough and guess what I don't feel guilty....I don't even care....don't BOO me!!! I work really really hard and sometimes twice a day and if I blow it from time to time during that time of the month....so be it.

    You said you had a few scoops, not a whole container, so I think you held it together pretty well. ;)

    I ate 3 mini candy bars yesterday at work and was about to go grab another...when I realized a) I wasn't actually hungry b) it was completely controllable to stay out of that person's office and away from the candy jar, once I realized that I wasn't going for the chocolate out of hunger, but out of habit!

    As long as you're still around your calorie targets you're fine. If you go way over I'd be concerned. I had an ice cream today and logged it and don't feel guilty since I earned it by exercising and I'm not going over my calorie budget for it!

    I am in the same situation as you today! I totally had some icecream and I dont even care, I needed to satisfy my chocolate craving, I had a horrible day of cramps and this made me feel alot better.

    Your body NEEDS some (not a thousand - but a few hundred) calories to shed and regenerate the uterine lining every month! DO NOT feel bad for cravings or being hungry! There's a REASON! :-)

    Heck, I don't even care if you went over your calorie goals. If you only go over once a month, you will be fine!

    Some days it's best just to satisfy the craving and move on -- someimes substitutes just don't work, and you'll eat less than if you tried the others.

    The real question is -- did you enjoy it? And can you send me some? (going through the same craving right now! :smile:

    yes today is a new day and I still have all of that lovely high calorie pms stuff in the house but today I am fine and don't want it at all.

    Actually looked at my son's b-day brownies and thought YUCK and made 7 grain cereal and greek yogurt for breakfast...so I am back on track
