Heading to the French Quarter this weekend and I want to stay under control and have fun. Need help from locals or anyone who knows a little. Please suggest resturants I can't miss and things I must do. This is for a Bachlorette Party Weekend, so ther will be lots of booze, but I plan on behaving for the most part.

I spent a week a month there for work for the past year and it can be a challenge to stay on track. My Nutritionist says that you should come up with a plan for going out. Find a drink ahead of time that is lower in calories and stick with it . Hurricanes and Planters Punch can be the end of you, try to stick with a vodka and tonic with lime or something comparable and try and drink a water in between each drink. With a city so famous for food it is better not to blow your calories on drinks.

As far as restaurants go, stay away from the tourist spots on Bourban street they are expensive and not that good.

    Have a great trip!

I'll be there in just over two weeks, with three friends from all over the country and no plan on behaving myself. I'm gonna drink and eat beignets til I never want to put another thing in my mouth again.

Sorry, I'm not much help!
